Raising A Baby Is Harder Than Interior Design!
First mothers have some harsh lessons to learn. Don't let this article put you off having a baby, though. It's just meant to prepare you for the worst!
Babies aren't like us. To be blunt, they have no sense of style or decorum, nor do they respect the fact that while they were happily sleeping and being provided nourishment from your own body, you were out there trying your best to prepare for their arrival.
Long before your baby arrived on the scene, you were out looking for the best baby crib on the market for your new 'bundle of joy.' You and your husband spared no expense and bought the best convertible crib natural as ergonomically designed and constructed as you could find. The two of you had done a lot of reading and decided that the only crib good enough for your baby was the one that chiropractors recommended.
Then, while you were fighting back the almost constant urge to vomit (they call it morning sickness, but it should be called mourning sickness!), you forced yourself to go looking for a bedding collection that both you and the baby would like. It wasn't an easy decision to make and the fact that your baby was literally making you sick didn't help!
Finally, you found some designer crib bedding that was perfect. You took it home, lovingly made up the baby's crib and sat back and felt a warm flood of joy over the impending arrival of a new baby in your life.
That crib with all its designer bedding continued to inspire you and help you get through the long months before baby's arrival. Somehow, they made it a little easier to put up with all the aches and pains associated with your pregnancy. In your mind, you saw its fat, grinning face smiling up at you from its gorgeous designer bed and felt that all the hassles were going to be worth it.
Then baby arrived and you had to face the sickening truth: your new baby had no sense of style at all! It couldn't care less about its beautiful sheets and showed it by pee-peeing all over them every chance it got! It wasn't too impressed with your hideously expensive ergonomically designed crib, either. It didn't fall to sleep the instant you put it inside and happily stay there till you wanted it to wake up.
The life you imagined for you and your new baby was so much better than the life you got! Cruel reality sometimes makes you feel like motherhood was just a big mistake. Nonetheless, for some weird reason, the fact that your baby pees on its designer sheets and wakes you up at ungodly hours hasn't stopped you from feeling that it was all worth it. The only thing you'll do differently next time is by cheap bedding!
