13 Things For Your Child To Do (Instead Of Watch Tv)
C'mon, admit it. You sometimes use the television set as a cheap babysitter. That's ok...we ALL do it sometimes! Ah, but it's a double-edged sword, because kids who watch a lot of TV have trouble keeping themselves entertained, which in the long run makes your job harder! Provided here are some fun TV free activities that could keep them occupied even for a while.
1) Make paper airplanes
This is greatly creative especially if you'd also supply them a book on fine arts of paper plane making to make it more creative.
2) It's not actually playing with their food, but Towering Toothpicks could be more fun and creative when some green peas are added to the tower.
3) Make homemade ice cream
This can be done with any flavor plus cream, sugar, and milk in a coffee can. Put the lid on, then put it in a bigger can and pour ice around the little can. Place rock salt over the crushed ice. Put a lid over the big can, and hand it to your children to move it to and fro for about 1/2 hour or right up until it becomes ice cream! (Perform this one even if it's winter...I won't tell!) 5) Bunk Bed and Blankets. If you've got bunk beds, just add some blankets to create a submarine atmosphere and let them enjoy and be creative.

12) Treasure map fun. Buy cheap dollar store toys. Hide in your closet. Make a list of items they must find outside. (A white rock, a feather, a red leaf, a penny, etc) Tell them an exciting booty awaits when they bring all the items to you.
13) Make a cave inside the house. Blankets could be fun to place over chairs and tables to make caves. Grab a flashlight and instruct child to go read scary stories inside it.
