Have you given much consideration to Mother's Day this year? Especially for first-year mothers, Mother's Day marks a new beginning. For new dads, it is important to recognize your wife as a mom, or be prepared to get chided by friends and relatives!
So here's some gift ideas for new fathers on celebrating Mother's Day this year. For starters: flowers. Even if she says she doesn't care about receiving flowers, my advice is to do it! Flowers delivered at work: not bad. But even better -- have some waiting for her at home, especially a surprise bouquet in the nursery. Of course, a Mother's Day card is also essential This is your moment to show her you understand the transition she has made, not only in life, but in your eyes as well.
Now, chocolate can be a winner or a loser, depending on your wife. Proceed with caution when it comes to sugary snacks as gifts. But a sure bet gift is baby jewelry. Take some time and choose a piece of jewelry that matches her favorites pieces. Also, personalize the jewelry with your baby's name In the last few years, mother jewelry has become a major trend for not only young adults but women of all ages. A jewelry gift is always touching, and even more so when it is obvious that you have taken the time to choose a piece that complements her style and celebrates the baby.
Whatever you do this Mother's Day, and however much you spend, just remember to keep the focus on her new role, and keep the tone of the gifts and cardtouching and happy. She will be relieved that you are here to mark this important transition with her, and will remember her first Mother's Day with fondness.

Diaper Dude Bag

Diaper Dude Keeps Dad Looking Manly
It's not always moms that carry babies around and take them places. Dads do it, too, and you see it more and more often. With economic problems, there are more stay-at-home dads now, but even when things improve and more people re-enter the workforce there will still be many dads who just simply love doing things with their babies.
Brad Pitt: Dude with a Diaper Bag
The problem with that is that many of the bags out there are flowery and girly. What about daddy diaper bags? Now dads have a chance to look cool when they're out with baby, with the Diaper Dude bag. It looks more like a heavy-duty carrying case, but it's got all the essentials that it needs to make a great diaper bag without the flowery, girly diaper bag pattern that you see so often. There's nothing wrong with that pattern, but when you're a man and you're trying to look cool, the Diaper Dude diaper bag is the way to go. It shows that you can still take great care of your baby and have everything that your little tyke needs without being required to carry around something frilly, usually in a pastel color.
The Diaper Dude bag is becoming more popular as more men who have very young children at home realize that they can get a great-looking and high-quality diaper bag that looks like it belongs to a man. The colors are darker, the material seems thicker and bolder, and the bag itself looks less like a diaper bag than most of the standard models. All these things and more make the Diaper Dude diaper bag a great choice for men who are looking for a daddy diaper bag at a great price. They won't be afraid or embarrassed to take this one out in public, and they can even show it off to their friends who have babies. It'll give them something new to talk about and help them bond with their babies and with their friends all while giving mom a much-needed break. ...

Here is a little known perfect storm that can be a great gifting opportunity for new dads: when Mother’s Day coincides with the expected delivery day. It would be a big mistake for dads to forget about celebrating Mother’s Day, even though you can bet their minds are elsewhere. But if you play this hand right, it’ll be the best Mother’s Days ever. Allow me to take a few minutes to give you some great ideas about how to transform this “perfect storm” into a surprise celebration.
First off, call a flower delivery service and make an appointment for delivery on Mother’s Day. Even if the delivery date turns out to not be correct, and even two weeks late, she will still appreciate the flowers because you made the connection about her new duty in life. This is powerful stuff, because many women complain that their husband’s mothers always come first.
Next, order your wife’s favorite dinner (or cook it yourself if so inclined) and put it in the freezer. Trust me, near the end of the pregnancy, you both will be bored with quick and easy take-out food and she will love the forethought in cooking her favorite meal on Mother’s Day. There’s no time to think, much less cook, during those final days of the pregnancy or the first days of the baby’s life, so a well-cooked meal that is easily prepared will be convenient and heart warming.
Lastly, do some undercover nursery decorating. This is easy, guys. If the nursery has already been decorated, simply choose some kids art that matches the general color scheme. She will love that you had some innovative plan for the nursery, which as you know is traditionally a ‘Mom zone.” Better still: put the mother’s day boutique in the nursery for an extra jolt of surprise.
