How To Get The Children To Go To Bed

Some children even though they know that they are tired, do not want to miss out on any of the action or excitement. They want to spend as much time with mom and dad as possible. I even heard one particular day the children discussing how unfair it is that they have to go to be before me and their mother - rather crazy some might say lol. These types of children will want to disrupt and even avoid going to bed at all cost.

When I was a child I had a speech impediment known as stuttering. I was desperate to find out how to stop stammering and was aware that I would stutter more if I had had a lack of sleep the night before.

I myself have two young children and have been through this experience myself. My daughter especially needs her sleep and can be very moody in the mornings, if she has not had a particular amount of hours of it. As a parent it can become very frustrating as well as upsetting when you see your child crying because they do not want to go to bed. Comments like, please dad just one more program on the television, were far too regular, and at times I felt like backing down.

After reading numerous books on the subject of being a parent I now have the solutions to deal with this situation. Each child now has a set time when they have to be in bed by. This is a time that they have both agreed to!

They get changed into their pyjamas around half an hour before this time, and then can either spend that period of time playing with their toys or watching the television. If they want to play, we ensure that the games are relaxing ones and not too energetic.

You may well be wondering why I am so eager to get my kids to bed. Well it is because I need my own rest other wise I am a moody person at work the next day where I sell external doors as well as cheap hotel deals on a part time basis.

If there is a program that is on later than their agreed bedtimes, I agree to video it for them, this way they know that they are not missing out etc.

I have agreed that I will read them a story at bedtime. Both children have stated how much they enjoy this and it certainly helps them to chill out. The kids are also allowed to take a drink of their choice with them to bed; this saves them from having to walk downstairs later in the evening. This drink is always a juice and should not be fizzy.

Pet ownership in America has often been associated with families, especially those who had someone to constantly attend to their pets’ needs. In the past, singles and couples who often worked didn’t have the luxury to own pets. However, as pets can now be trained to behave while their owners are away at work, they are now being considered more as family members and friends.

Today, the America Pet Products Association estimates that about 63% of the total number of American households are pet owners. The most popular animals chosen as pets are dogs, cats and birds especially since they are very affectionate and loyal to their owners. In turn, these pets also require an abundance of love and care.

Realistically, owners cannot always provide such love and care especially since their daily routine goes beyond home and work. Oftentimes, they face the dilemma of not knowing where or to whom they could safely entrust their pets when they have to be away for a long period of time either for vacation, an emergency trip or out-of-town engagements. For some owners, a day away from their pets is already agonizing, while for others, being away for more than a day is a big problem.

Previously, owners had no choice but seek the kindness of their neighbors to at least feed their pets or in other instances, bring their pets to a new environment where they could seek temporary shelter such as the house of a family/friend or a kennel. Most of the experiences of those who have taken these options have often been heartbreaking: either their pets weren’t cared for as expected or their pets were stressed by the new environment. The bottom line for owners: leaving their pets is as stressful for them as it is for their pets.

These days, a new pet service is being offered to American owners, one which aims to replace all the negative impacts that old options often entail. Long Island Dog Walking is a caregiving service that uniquely caters to pets and their needs. This time, owners can let their pets stay at home while being cared for by a pet sitter.

With Long Island Pet Sitter, pets get to stay in the comfort of their home and get their regular dose of tender loving care which is provided by regular pet sitter. Availing of a pet sitting service ensures a pet owner that only one pet sitter will be around to give care to a pet. This assures familiarity and regularity, one which is critical for a pet especially in the absence of its recognizable owner. A pet sitter also ensures that the routine followed by owners and pets are continued while carrying out other tasks specified by the pet owner. Regular routine includes feeding, exercise, play, medication and grooming.

Owners who opt for pet sitting services are assured that their pets are cared for only by profession pet sitters who not only attend to and nurture their pets but also take the extra steps of ensuring that owners are advised of improving their pets’ well-being which owners sometimes overlook (e.g. cost effective medicine and shots). Such professionalism and care extends to caring for the safety of the owner’s house.
